February Gourmet Cooking Class
Not only was it Superbowl Sunday, but February 7th, was also the day MPBA held its Gourmet Cooking Class in Los Gatos.
About 20 people came to learn how to cook Penang Mamak rojak (Pasembor), Fried noodle (Mee mamak) and Fish in Pindang (savoury spice sauce), from Chef Azalina Eusope who volunteered her time and talent.
Azalina, originally from Penang, Malaysia, is the owner of the popular catering service called "Rambutan," in addition to her "warong" (stall) at the Alameda Flea Market where she specializes in pastries, and Penang and mamak cuisine.
Everyone had a great time that day, making new friends, cooking and most of all, to eat what they had just learned to cooked! And, everyone got to go home in time to watch the Saints win!
Thanks to Chef Azalina, and to Doris Sek who organized the event. And of course, to all those who attended, ate and helped out! |
